Cold weather, snow, ice, and rain have made it impossible to take walks in the neighborhood until today. It was a balmy 40°F, almost 4.5°C. I took a decent length walk. For me, it meant a tad over a half-mile, almost 900 m walk. A major accomplishment that took me a little over twenty minutes.
Don’t get me wrong, it was still quite cold, and I even ended up putting on my heavy gloves. But, it felt good to hold the camera for the first time since December 21 of last year. Oh, yes, I took a few pictures of the snow with my phone here and there. Holding a camera feels different although I know many of you may disagree.
There wasn’t much to photograph around, other than mud-splattered snow and drab streets. Then I noticed the reflections in the puddles. They looked like reruns of the snowstorm with the help of the white specs on the pavement. I am sharing them just to show that I am still keeping some light in my camera!
Better walking days are ahead. I may even try to walk for 30 minutes one day!
