Vertical panorama of Meerkat (Suricata suricatta) which is found in Southern African savannah, inhabiting rocky grasslands, and coping with intense heat & little rain. They belong to tthe mongoose family. Meerkats are primarily insectivores, but also eat lizards, snakes, scorpions, spiders, plants, eggs, small mammals, millipedes, centipedes and, more rarely, small birds. Original image 4,000 high. |

I am passionate about travel photography with interests in landscape, culture, architecture, ancient civilizations, people, nature and wildlife. I am turned on by the beauty of the world & attempt to capture diversity in the landscape. I have travelled extensively to over 50 countries in all continents, from Antarctica to Iceland, and from Pagan to Peru.
My work is dynamic, documentary and expressive, with a particular strength in composition.
My passion for photography has been expressed through solo exhibitions of images, both photographic & used in conjunction with computer generated works, & as a vehicle for documentation and expression. Images have been used commercially in travel, advertising, as large scale prints, cafe wall mural (3m x 8m), web site designs, book illustrations. I pride myself on a professional relationship with clients wherever they are in the world.
I have broad interests in Art & Design including photography, ethnography & contemporary crafts, also environmental & humanitarian issues. I have a concern for threatened species & have travelled to see & photograph some of these, most recently Polar Bears in Canada. I am also interested in human rights issues & poverty, which are all too apparent in many countries, & try to reflect human dignity in my informal portraits.
I have participated in over 100 group and solo shows in art/design and photography throughout a lifetime of involvement in the arts.
In photography I have received several awards through the travel industry.
